Prince Harry and Meghan make secret donation to teen charity after controversial LA outing

The Sussexes have reportedly made a touching gesture in Los Angeles following the recent devastating fires in the area.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have contributed to a teen charity in LA as part of their joint effort to support those impacted by the wildfires, which have caused widespread destruction.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen this week in LA visiting an evacuation center and a food bank in Pasadena. Additionally, Meghan was spotted volunteering at the warehouse of a teen charity.

The Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery, founded by 14-year-old Avery Colvert from Pasadena, aims to collect beauty and personal supplies for young girls affected by the fires, according to the Los Angeles Times.

It has now been revealed that Harry and Meghan secretly donated to the charity through their Archewell Foundation.

Avery’s charity expressed gratitude to Harry and Meghan on Instagram, stating: “A special thanks to The Archewell Foundation for your support!”

Their visit drew criticism from some, including Hollywood actress Justine Bateman, who accused the couple of being “disaster tourists” and called their visit a “repulsive photo-op.”

However, People reported that Meghan arrived at the charity’s warehouse on Monday with clothing, new beauty products, and lunch for the volunteers. She interacted with families and assisted girls with their shopping.

A video shared by the charity showed Meghan, dressed in black, speaking to a girl and carrying large bags. The caption read: “And thank you to everyone who showed up on Monday, which was such a special day! We love you!”

In another post, a charity representative commented on Meghan’s presence, saying: “Even just meeting her is life-changing! Having her support is unreal.”

Last week, Harry and Meghan issued a statement encouraging people to “open their homes” to evacuees and “check in” on their “disabled or elderly neighbors.”

The statement included a list of fire service charities, animal groups, and other initiatives for supporting those affected.

It is believed that the couple has donated supplies such as clothing, children’s items, and other essentials to those impacted. They are also thought to have welcomed friends and loved ones who had to evacuate into their home.
