The one detail during Kate Middleton’s hospital visit everyone missed, and we’re lost for words

The Princess of Wales is now back home, recovering from her recent abdominal surgery. She’ll be taking time off from public duties until after Easter, focusing on rest and spending time with her children. During this period, Kate will be working from home with support from her husband, Prince William, and her family.

Kensington Palace shared that Kate is making good progress and expressed gratitude to the medical staff at The London Clinic. The royal family also thanked well-wishers from around the world for their support.

Hello Magazine’s royal editor, Emily Nash, revealed that the Princess of Wales has been FaceTiming her children while in the hospital, as they didn’t visit her there. Nash shared that Kate often FaceTimes her kids when working abroad, so they’ll likely stay in regular contact. William, known for being hands-on, will keep things normal at home while Kate recovers.

William and Kate would get help from their long-time nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.

Borrallo has been with the family since Prince George was just 8 months old.

Maria Borallo, the nanny for the royal children, is known for her dedication to her job, with her life entirely focused on the family she serves. She’s described as being “married to the job” and has a reputation for professionalism, as she makes decisions for the children when the parents are away. Trained at the prestigious Norland College, Maria is firm yet works alongside Kate and William in managing the children’s discipline, creating a balance that appears less strict than it actually is.

When hired, Kensington Palace simply stated that Maria was a full-time nanny who would accompany the family on royal tours, without disclosing further details about her employment.

Speaking with Hello Magazine, parenting expert Jo Frost explained that Maria is a very important person for William, Kate, and their children.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams discussed the ongoing situation with Kate Middleton’s recovery, emphasizing the importance of her nanny, Maria Teresa, during this time. He noted that William is likely to forgo royal duties to be by Kate’s side, prioritizing his family.

Teresa, trained at Norland College, has been invaluable in supporting the family, especially with the children. Fitzwilliams highlighted her significant role during Kate’s convalescence, as her experience and training will be crucial in the coming weeks.

As per royal editor Rebecca English, the media “have agreed not to have photographers [outside the hospital], not to have camera crews, not to have journalists, to allow [Kate] to recuperate from her operation in privacy and also to respect the privacy of the other patients.”

Expert Daniela Elser argued about the decision the children not to visit their mother at the hospital.

Elser raised concerns about the Waleses’ decision to keep their children away from Kate during her hospital stay. While it was reported that William and Kate wanted to maintain a sense of normalcy for their kids, Elser questioned if spending time with their mother would have been more beneficial than staying with grandparents. Despite their focus on family, Elser wondered if this decision truly aligned with their “family first” approach.
