This is what happens to your body if you don’t have 𝐬.𝐞.𝐱

There are several studies that confirm intimacy plays a very important role in a couple’s relationship.

It brings pleasure and satisfaction through the release of certain hormones and neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine. That’s why today I want to share with you some of the benefits of maintaining an active intimate life.

“When a couple enjoys frequent intimacy, the relationship often becomes more satisfying and provides great health benefits for both partners. That’s why it’s so important to keep this part of the relationship alive.”

It’s worth mentioning that many studies show our bodies change when intimacy is absent, proving that lack of intimacy leads to both physical and emotional changes.

Boosts the immune system

The intimacy we share with our partner in the bedroom greatly helps strengthen our defenses. Not doing so can actually work against us. During intimacy, blood pressure and cortisol levels rise—cortisol being the hormone released in response to stress and pain. Blood sugar levels also increase, and the immune system is temporarily suppressed.

This leaves us more exposed to viruses, bacteria, fungi, and infections. According to a study conducted at Wilkes University in the U.S., being intimate at least twice a week can raise immunoglobulin levels by up to 35%, significantly boosting your body’s defenses.

Brain benefits

Scientists have discovered that intimacy stimulates the brain to produce new neurons in the hippocampus, showing that stopping this activity can negatively affect our health.

Muscles weaken without it

It’s also important to point out that our intimate organs have muscles too, and like any other muscle, they weaken without activity or exercise. That’s why it’s necessary to keep them active so they can function properly. In men, lack of intimacy can lead to future problems like dysfunction, while in women, reduced activity can cause loss of firmness in the intimate area.

If, for any reason, you’re unable to enjoy intimacy as you should, be sure to visit a trusted doctor. They can help find solutions to the problem that’s preventing you from experiencing it fully.
