The fastest way to remove mold from shower silicone

Keeping a bathroom clean, disinfected, and free of mold isn’t an impossible task. To prevent black mold from forming in the shower—which damages materials and is harmful to your health—you can rely on a few simple, natural tricks.

While there are plenty of chemical products that can remove mold in seconds, using natural alternatives helps reduce pollution and protect your health.

One of the most effective ways to eliminate mold in the shower is by combining white vinegar, warm water, and baking soda.

Mix the three ingredients in the following proportions:

¼ warm water, ¾ white vinegar, and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and shake well.

Next, apply the solution directly onto the mold stains on the shower’s silicone, and let it sit for 30 minutes.

With the help of a small brush, scrub the solution into the mold stains, then rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly with a clean cloth.

Now that you know how to remove mold stains from shower silicone, the best way to keep them from coming back is by preventing buildup—always clean and dry the shower after each use.
