Body Language Expert Dissects Melania Trump And Kate Middleton’s Awkward State Visit Moment

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are in the United Kingdom for their second state visit, a trip marked by protests, heavy security, and close scrutiny of their interactions with the British royals.

During one appearance, Melania joined Queen Camilla and the Princess of Wales, Catherine, in what many saw as a picture-perfect moment. Yet a celebrity body language expert believes the First Lady looked noticeably uncomfortable.

Speaking to UNILAD, psychic and body language analyst Inbaal Honigman praised the trio but noted differences in how they carried themselves. “The most comfortable of the three appears to be Queen Camilla, because her feet are placed slightly apart, whereas both Catherine and Melania’s feet are close together,” she explained. “When somebody stands with their feet apart, it means they’re happy to take up extra space and feel content.”

While all three women maintained calm, neutral smiles, Honigman argued that their hands told a different story. Kate’s hands, she said, were positioned protectively in front of her but with fingers splayed — a signal of ease. By contrast, Melania’s hands appeared clenched. “That shows she may feel like a fish out of water, a bit tense in that conversation,” Honigman added.

Not everyone agreed with the analysis. On social media, critics dismissed the observations, with one Facebook commenter writing: “Older people could tell the expert that an older person standing with legs a little wider is very normal. And of course Kate, the youngest, is the one talking and using hands — rather normal too!”

Protocol Questions Around Trump

Elsewhere during the visit, Trump himself drew attention when he walked ahead of King Charles alongside one of the palace guards. UK television personality Narinder Kaur criticized the moment, saying: “Oh god… he’s walking in front of the King, like Charles doesn’t even exist or matter!”

Buckingham Palace later clarified that visiting heads of state are customarily permitted to walk in front of the monarch, denying that any breach of etiquette had occurred.

Still, debate over protocol did not end there. The Express reported that Trump gave Prince William a friendly pat on the arm while shaking his hand — an informal gesture technically considered outside royal protocol. The paper noted, however, that William is unlikely to have minded, as he does not hold to tradition as strictly as past generations.

Protests at Windsor and Beyond

Beyond the palace walls, Trump’s presence in Britain sparked widespread dissent. The Stop Trump Coalition organized a large protest in London, drawing thousands of demonstrators. Meanwhile, closer to Windsor Castle, several individuals were arrested after projecting an image of Trump with the late Jeffrey Epstein onto the historic building.

The arrests, combined with the protests and the scrutiny of Trump’s behavior with the royals, underscored how charged the American president’s UK visit has become.

On Christmas dinner night, my daughter ran up to knock on the door, her little hands trembling with excitement. My sister opened it, sighed, and muttered, “What is she doing here? Please, we don’t want any trouble tonight.” My daughter came back to me in tears. “Aunt said she doesn’t want us here, Mommy.” I walked up and knocked again, my heart pounding, ready to confront her. My mother appeared beside her and said coldly, “Tonight is for real family only — take the kids and don’t come back.” Through the doorway, I saw them all — my whole family — laughing and chatting around the glowing Christmas tree and the perfect holiday feast. I just nodded, forcing a small smile, and whispered, “I understand.” Ten minutes later, my father burst through the door, shouting my name — his face as pale as snow
