Prince Louis once again stole the spotlight during the VE Day celebrations in London, showing why many see him as the most relatable seven-year-old in the royal family.
As the UK celebrated the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day — marking the end of World War II in Europe after Germany’s surrender — Louis joined his brother Prince George at the heart of the event. While the day included parades, tributes, and military displays, it was Louis’ reactions that really caught people’s attention!
True to his playful personality, Louis delivered another classic moment — this time with a perfectly timed eye-roll and a touch of dry humor.
Professional lip reader Nicola Hickling says Louis was caught on camera asking his dad, Prince William, a very straightforward question: “Isn’t this supposed to be fun?”
Hickling, who runs LipReader Ltd, told The Express what she believes was said during a short exchange between William and Louis as they watched the Armed Forces march by.
According to her, William said: “They are grabbing their bars, isn’t it great?”
To which Louis calmly replied: “They are marching straight.”
William tried to keep his son interested by asking if he could see the soldiers turning or lining up. Louis simply replied: “They’re going in a circle.”
It’s a good reminder to all parents that even a future king has to deal with kids who can be a bit cheeky.
As expected, Louis’ reactions quickly went viral. One X user wrote: “Oh, the baby brother eye roll. I think we shall hopefully continue to get Prince Louis antics much into the future.” Another added: “Prince Louis and his eye roll. Haha!”
Even though he’s been through tough times—like losing his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and dealing with his mom’s recent cancer diagnosis—Prince Louis keeps winning hearts with his funny personality, honesty, and natural charm.
