Moment Prince George tells brother Louis to ‘stop’ on palace balcony at Trooping the Colour

At this year’s Trooping the Colour, the annual celebration of the monarch’s official birthday, the youngest royals once again stole the spotlight — but it was a brief sibling exchange that really had viewers talking.

On a sunlit June morning in London, royal watchers gathered for a glimpse of King Charles III and his family during the traditional balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace. While the grandeur of the parade was front and center, fans found themselves drawn to a small but humorous moment between Prince George and his younger brother, Prince Louis.

“Can You Stop Doing That?”

According to lip-reading expert Nicola Hickling, who spoke to Royal Insider, Prince George was seen gently correcting his energetic brother. As Louis waved enthusiastically to the crowd, George appeared to say, “Can you stop doing that?” — a big-brother move familiar to any family.

Louis, ever the showman, reportedly responded with an innocent, “I’m waving.”

Even King Charles took note of the moment. Observers believe he turned to Queen Camilla, pointing to Louis with a smile and commenting, “Look at him.”

George then lightly nudged Louis’ hand down, repeating more firmly, “Stop.” The exchange, though brief, captured hearts online — with royal fans chiming in across social media.

Fans Also Noticed Prince George’s Growth Spurt

Beyond the playful sibling dynamic, another detail grabbed viewers’ attention: Prince George’s height.

Standing next to his mother, Princess Catherine, George looked nearly as tall — despite her wearing heels. Royal watchers speculated that the young prince, whose exact height remains unofficial, may soon surpass his mom, who is reportedly 5’7”.

“Did anyone else notice that the Princess of Wales is only about a head taller than Prince George? And she’s in heels. He’s grown so much!” one fan remarked.

Indeed, it’s a visual reminder of how quickly the royal children are growing up before the public’s eyes.

A Coordinated Look Between Kate and Charlotte

Adding to the charm of the day, Princess Charlotte matched her mother in a coordinating blue outfit. The Princess of Wales wore a striking turquoise dress by Catherine Walker, a nod to elegance and tradition that complemented her daughter’s look beautifully.
