People convinced Melania Trump ‘has been replaced’ during UK state visit because of one thing

When it comes to First Lady Melania Trump, one conspiracy theory refuses to fade — the claim that she’s sometimes replaced by a body double.

As the US First Lady accompanied her husband, Donald Trump, on his second state visit to the United Kingdom this week, speculation once again began to swirl.

The Rumour Resurfaces

Some observers insist that Melania hasn’t really been present at all, but instead that a stand-in has taken her place. The idea largely stems from the perception that Melania and Donald aren’t especially close, with critics pointing out her seemingly reluctant public appearances alongside him.

On this trip, one particular accessory reignited the whispers — Melania’s oversized hat. The wide-brimmed design concealed much of her face, leaving only her mouth visible at times, prompting renewed claims of a possible double.

Social Media Reacts

Social media users were quick to jump on the theory. One quipped: “Are we sure it’s Melania and not her double? She did smile.” Another declared bluntly: “It’s the fake Melania,” while a third simply asked: “It’s not Melania?”

Despite the chatter, there’s no solid evidence that Melania has ever been swapped for a double. Still, the rumour has proven stubborn enough to become a recurring narrative around the First Lady.

Donald Trump himself has even addressed the theory, dismissing it outright as “fake news.”

A Rare Second State Visit

The speculation has overshadowed what is already an unusual occasion: Donald Trump’s second state visit to the UK, something most US presidents never experience.

During the trip, Trump and Melania have joined members of the Royal Family and met senior UK politicians. Many events have been held behind closed doors, in part to avoid large protests against the President’s visit.

Protests and Arrests

Tensions flared outside Windsor Castle after protesters projected a film linking Trump to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein onto the castle walls.

Police later confirmed four individuals connected to the activist group Led by Donkeys were arrested on suspicion of malicious communications.

The group condemned the arrests as excessive, stating: “No laws are broken, nobody’s hurt, no property was damaged, and yet – look at the reaction.”
