Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should be ‘stripped of royal titles’ after dancing hospital video, fans demand

A candid video showing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry dancing in a hospital room shortly before Princess Lilibet’s birth has stirred controversy, with many royal fans and commentators now demanding that the couple be stripped of their royal titles.

The clip, which has gone viral on Instagram, features a heavily pregnant Meghan dancing to the popular TikTok track The Baby Momma Dance inside the hospital.

Prince Harry makes a brief appearance in the video, jumping in to show off a few dance moves of his own.

Wearing a black maternity dress, Meghan cradles her baby bump, lifts her skirt above her knees, and sways with her hands on her hips.

While the video was meant to mark a joyful moment on the day of Princess Lilibet’s birth, it didn’t sit well with royal traditionalists — many of whom were left outraged by the display.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Face Backlash Over Dancing Hospital Video

A video showing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dancing in a hospital has sparked backlash online, with some royal supporters calling for their titles to be stripped.

Nile Gardiner, a former aide to Margaret Thatcher, posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Meghan and Harry’s royal titles should be removed as soon as possible.” His comments quickly gained support, with many others echoing the sentiment in the replies.

One user wrote, “Removal is necessary,” while another added, “It needs to be done asap, because they continue to debase the monarchy.” Another harsh comment read: “Absolutely. Both have proven to be tasteless, classless and vulgar.”

Despite the criticism, not everyone agreed. Some defended the couple, arguing the reaction was overblown.

“Why??? Dancing is great in childbirth!! I did it to help with the pain,” one commenter said. Another asked, “I don’t get the rage over a young couple having fun in the delivery room. They’re not hurting or insulting anyone, are they?”

Royal biographer Angela Levin also joined in on the criticism, posting: “I’m appalled, too. Just awful.”

The controversial video was part of a trio of posts Meghan shared in celebration of her daughter’s birthday, which also included never-before-seen photos of the young girl.

Meghan and Harry Spark New Title Controversy

Meghan Markle faced backlash after a gift basket she sent appeared on a podcast with a card signed “HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”

Critics say it violates the 2020 royal exit deal, where Meghan and Harry agreed not to use their HRH titles publicly after stepping back from royal duties.

A source claimed the gesture was personal, not commercial — but royal watchers say it still crosses the line.
