A resurfaced video has highlighted Queen Camilla’s unexpected show of warmth after a young Princess Charlotte made a small slip at King Charles III’s Coronation Concert.
The Moment at Windsor Castle
The clip, first aired by the BBC during the Coronation Concert on May 7, 2023, captures the newly crowned King and Queen arriving to take their seats in the front row of the royal box.
As they were greeted by senior royals—including the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Catherine, and her daughter Charlotte—the then eight-year-old remembered to curtsy to her grandfather but appeared to forget to do the same for Camilla.
Rather than letting the oversight linger, Camilla, then 77, responded warmly. She placed a hand on Charlotte’s shoulder, smiled, and greeted her step-granddaughter kindly. The gentle reaction seemed to reassure the young princess, who relaxed and went on to enjoy the concert.

Later, Charlotte was spotted enthusiastically waving a Union Jack during Katy Perry’s performance of “Roar,” happily joining in with the 20,000-strong crowd.
