Viewers were touched by the interaction, with one Instagram user commenting: “What a sweet moment between Charlotte and Camilla, God bless the Royal Family!” Another added: “Remember, she’s still only a child – they forget things! And do they really still have to curtsy?”
Seated between her mother and older brother, Prince George, Charlotte lit up when her father, Prince William, stepped onto the stage to deliver a speech honoring King Charles. She pointed him out to George, grinning with pride as he addressed the audience.

Charlotte’s Family Ties
While little is publicly known about Charlotte’s personal relationship with Camilla, she is known to be especially close to her maternal grandparents, Michael and Carole Middleton.
Carole Middleton has long been a central figure in the Wales children’s lives, particularly during Catherine’s cancer treatment in 2024. In a past interview with The Telegraph, Carole emphasized her devotion to her family: “My family are paramount. They come first and that will always be the case, even when I have more ‘me time’.”
Royal expert Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, has also praised the Middletons’ role in the Wales household. “The Middletons are a really close family. Carole is a very hands-on grandmother, and I’m sure she will be at the helm. She often picks the kids up from school,” she explained.
Living in Bucklebury, Berkshire, just a short drive from Windsor, the Middletons remain a steady and supportive presence in the lives of George, Charlotte, and Louis.
