Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Might Leave US As Their ‘Upset’ Over Trump Win

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be considering a move out of the United States after Donald Trump’s recent election victory, which reportedly left Meghan Markle “very upset.”

Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan Markle, 43, have lived in the US since stepping down as senior working royals in 2020. However, reports suggest Trump’s win has reignited Meghan’s distaste for the former president.

Daily Mail Editor at Large Charlotte Griffiths told GB News: “Meghan will be deeply unhappy about living in America under Trump’s presidency. She has previously called him a misogynist on live TV, so it’s likely she’d want to leave.”

Speculation has arisen that the couple has recently bought a home in Portugal, where Princess Eugenie and her family often reside. Meghan and Harry share a close bond with Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who appeared in the Sussexes’ 2022 Netflix documentary, *Harry & Meghan.*

Experts believe a home in Portugal could bring Meghan and Harry closer to the UK, making visits to Britain more frequent. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams noted: “This gives Harry and Meghan a base in the EU and closer proximity to the UK.”

This isn’t the first time Meghan has reacted strongly to Trump’s presidency. Following his initial election win, it was reported that she considered staying in Canada permanently. Over the years, Meghan and Harry have had several tense moments with Trump, and his recent victory has been described as a “challenging time” for the couple.

Kinsey Schofield, a royal commentator, shared on her YouTube channel that the Sussexes were likely disheartened by the election results. She explained, “Newsweek highlighted how difficult the months leading up to the election must have been for Harry and Meghan, especially given their clear preference for the outcome.”

The couple currently resides in Montecito, California, with their two children, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3.
